Discount School Supply had its beginning in a small retail store that sold educational products. Founder Ron Elliott connected with enthusiastic educators and parents of young children, and he had creative ideas about how he could supply more and better products to respond to their needs. In 1985, he decided to extend the store's reach, so he produced a 16-page black-and-white catalog of Arts & Crafts materials. The Discount School Supply catalog was born.
